Wednesday night Idalia update: storm moves to the Carolinas

Published

on

www.youtube.com – – 2023-08-30 22:47:20

SUMMARY: Tropical Storm Adali is weakening with wind speeds of 60 miles per hour. The main threat of tornadic storms is along the coastline and in the Outer Banks. Dry air is causing the storm to disintegrate, and it will continue to weaken as it moves into open water. Eventually, it will dissipate near Bermuda and combine with the remnants of Hurricane Franklin. Both Adali and Franklin will then be drawn away from the United States by fast winds in the upper atmosphere, moving out into the central Atlantic.

The storm itself is starting to fizzle out and is expected to move into the Atlantic Thursday night.
