Wednesday, 6am Tropical Update: Regardless of a name, heavy rain main threat for Texas
SUMMARY: Wednesday's weather will be windy with some showers as a Gulf disturbance moves away. Clouds and breezy conditions are expected, with highs in the 80s. Although we're far from the storm's center, its vast circulation extends over 600 miles, causing tropical storm warnings off our coast. Coastal flooding is likely, especially in low-lying areas. High tides will occur late morning to early afternoon, peaking flood risks. Conditions should improve by tomorrow and Friday. However, another plume of moisture is expected this weekend, likely impacting South Texas and Mexico more than our area. Seas will be rough through Friday.
5-7″+ inches of rain expected into southern Texas and northern Mexico with localized higher amounts.
