Lafayette Sheriff hosts Youth Golf Tournament
SUMMARY: Today at the Jay and Lonel AAR Municipal Golf Course, Sheriff Mark Garber and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department are hosting a free golf tournament for kids of all ages, a two-decade summer tradition. The event allows children to learn golf and enjoy time with friends and family. Following last week's youth golf clinic at Wetlands Golf Course, this tournament tests their skills. Victim Services Coordinator Amy Dagel values the connection with youth through golf. Sheriff Garber, introduced the day alongside golf pro Chris Arseno, who shared his golf journey. Participants received equipment and played five holes, with trophies and door prizes awarded.
