LeBron James plans to return to Los Angeles Lakers: report
SUMMARY: LeBron James plans to opt out of his current contract with the Los Angeles Lakers to negotiate a new deal, despite being due $51.4 million for the 2024-25 season. Ten Commandments. Multiple variations. Why the Louisiana law raises preferential treatment concerns | KTVE
SUMMARY: A new law mandates that a specific version of the Ten Commandments be displayed in every public school and state-funded college classroom in Louisiana. This version ties back to the 1956 film “The Ten Commandments” and is similar to Protestant renditions. Critics argue the law violates religious freedom and the principle of church-state separation, prompting a lawsuit. The law, signed by Republican Gov. Jeff Landry, is seen as part of broader GOP efforts to influence public schools with conservative Christian values. Scholars and religious leaders express concern over its theological and historical accuracy, noting its political motivations.
