Catahoula Parish crash claims the life of Jonesville man and five-year-old passenger | KTVE

SUMMARY: On June 21, 2024, Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 84 near Louisiana Highway 913. The crash involved a 2018 Kia Soul, driven by 25-year-old Viktoria Jones of Latrobe, PA, which crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 2011 Nissan Maxima driven by 58-year-old Fredrick Washington of Jonesville. Both Washington and a 5-year-old juvenile passenger in the Kia were killed. Jones and two other juvenile passengers in the Kia sustained moderate injuries, while an additional unrestrained juvenile in the Kia also died on the scene. Routine toxicology tests were conducted.

Nine Salmonella cases in Arkansas linked to backyard poultry flocks, CDC says
